Don’t forget to register for 2025!

Let’s start by saying this is a ‘no cost to you’ initiative with the aim of getting the Latrobe Valley more active. Make Your Move Latrobe was developed by the Latrobe Health Assembly and GippSport to provide physical activity opportunities to the Latrobe Valley workforce and the community, and in doing so decrease health risks and social isolation in the area.

Workplaces

Our team knows that finding the time to be active and reduce time spent sitting during the week, especially your time at work, can be difficult.

We develop programs and activities tailored to your workplace and group to promote and encourage physical activity and employee health and wellness at times where it is sometimes considered too hard.

Make Your Move believes any activity is good activity as long as you’re moving! We want you to have fun and be social within your workplace while having a timeout from those daily stresses.

Increased activity to break up the day reduces time spent sedentary and is proven to have exponential health and wellbeing benefits as well as increasing productivity and any benefits.

Children

Our community focus has shifted in Phase two, and we have now been funded to provide opportunities for Children’s Physical Literacy in years 2-5.

This can include providing informative sessions and training, facilitated groups and intergenerational sessions, as well as partnering with like-minded organisations all across the Latrobe Valley to increase the delivery of physical literacy programming.

Physical literacy programming comes with  a range of benefits for the next generation, including the attitudes and emotions that motivate you to be active, the social skills to be active with others, and the knowledge and understanding of how, why and when you move.

Get in touch if you are a Workplace looking for a health and wellbeing initiative, or an organisation involved in childcare looking for a physical literacy strategy.
